Last week, the Esquire Network-it used to be G4-premiered a new documentary series. It’s called “Friday Night Tykes” and focuses on San Antonio-area youth football. In the first sixty minutes alone, viewers are exposed to the intensity and outdated thinking of some coaches.
Next month, the 2014 Winter Olympic Games will be held in Sochi, Russia. At the centerpiece of the competition will be the men’s ice hockey tournament. Host country Russia will aim for gold–with strong challenges from across the world.
Previously on this blog, I spoke positively of the actions of Spirit Day. On Spirit Day, many major league organizations stood up for anti-bullying, especially with regards to LGBT Youth. America’s most popular league, the NFL, failed to embrace it whole-heartedly. Today, former punter Chris Kluwe went in to depth about the problems he experienced as a gay right’s advocate in the NFL.
Tonight, the NBA started play on its 2013-14 season. After receiving their championship rings, the Miami Heat soundly defeated the Chicago Bulls in the marquee match-up of the night. Lebron James is always fun to watch. I think I might have had more fun playing a simulation.
